A native to Northern California, Greg grew up in the East Bay community of Concord enjoying studies, sports and playing music with his friends. For college he moved to Berkeley to attend Cal and eventually to San Francisco to earn a B.S. in Biochemistry from San Francisco State. Shortly after he was fortunate to be exposed to the outstanding art studio of Mark Evans & Charley Brown. It was here that his career pivoted when Mark and Charlie offered him the opportunity to take on the marketing of the new Evans & Brown Collection of hand made wall coverings. Greg worked promoting the line with showrooms across the country from Sloan Miyasato, in San Francisco to J Robert Scott in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
An early 90’s recession drove Greg to the showroom side when he joined Sloan Miyasato and quickly became a top seller. A year later he was recruited by Randolph & Hein to join their sales team bringing similar results and gathering the attention of the owners of Therien. Four years later he left R&H to manage the iconic Therien Studio Workshops showroom in the San Francisco Vermont Center representing Therien, Quatrain and Gary Hutton Designs. Greg soon ascended to National Sales Manager for Therien Studio Workshops where he promoted the line through Holly Hunt, Jerry Pair and George Cameron Nash showrooms.
With the sale of Therien Studio to the Dessin Fournir Companies Greg shifted to Kneedler Fauchere San Francisco where he spent two years at an Inside Sales desk and then four years in Outside Sales.
The Greg Rodriguez Group continues this legacy by promoting two never before seen collections in Northern California, Hubbard Design Group , James Dunlop Textiles and most recently, Miyabi Casa, Munder Skiles exterior furniture and Lusso Misto Italian cashmere.
